SHOWING THE LOVE!

r5The Realtors and employees at RE/MAX equity group are banding together to SHOW THE LOVE to our Oregon troops that were recently deployed to Afghanistan. We are gathering and shipping  snack foods, hygene items, books, magazines, CD’s, DVD’s, games, etc.  The LOVE boxes will send a powerful message to our troops that we are with them and are physically doing something to show that we support them, regardless of how we feel politically about their mission.

Click LoveBoxesForOurTroops.com. to access a short video about this great grass roots organization and a list of the items that are appropriate to send.

If you live in Portland metropolitan and would like to donate a minimum of $20 worth of items towards a Love Box, I will drive to your house and pick up the items. If you would like to donate money towards the shipping costs ($14 per box) you can mail a check to me at my office (address on BlogRoll to the right) made payable to RE/MAX equity Group. In the memo section of your check write “Love Boxes” and we will make sure you get a receipt for your donation. I will also pick up any check of $20 or more.

Please check the list of items BEFORE you go shopping so that you will see what these men and women really could use…and thanks for caring!  Give me call or email to arrange a pick up.

 All my best, Kevin Gorman

Watching the Market?

Market Watch

This week I wanted to point you towards Realty Times and give you a friendly nudge. Realty Times offers a wealth of updated real estate market information and news.

This week’s “Real Estate Outlook” report offers updated information about real estate sales and appreciation. See the “Gains Versus Gloom” report.

The “Washington Report” discusses the new Home Valuation Code of Conduct. This recent code made significant changes to appraisal rules and guidelines. New legislation is being introduced (HR 3044) to place a moratorium on the code as it is causing widespread problems for appraisers, lenders, Realtors, buyers and sellers.

In the “Mortgage Moment” Jan Demas discusses Bridge Loans. What’s a Bridge Loan?  Click here and find out!

Realty Times is updated weekly. You can access it every day from my Blog or my website: www.KevinGormanSells.com. Just click on “Market News”.   By the way…am I on your Favorites Menu yet?  🙂

All my best  ~  Kevin Gorman /Broker, GRI, CDPE
