New Oregon Law Re:Woodstoves and Inserts

The 2009 Oregon Legislature passed a law requiring the removal of any uncertified woodstove from a home when it is sold. The law helps protect people from unnecessary woodsmoke pollution.

As of August 1st, 2010 the law requires either the Seller or Buyer to remove an uncertified woodstove or fireplace insert upon the sale of homes. Here is a link to the FAQ page of the DEQ Oregon website.
