Help For 5,000 Oregonian Homeowners

>Do you or someone you know in Oregon need help making mortgage payments? Delinquent due to unemployment or significant income loss?

Homeowners may be eligible for a new program that will provide up to $20,000 in mortgage payment support, for as long as a year.

The Mortgage Payment Assistance (MPA), is the first being offered by the Oregon Homeownership Stabilization Initiative (OHSI). Applications for the MPA program will be available online at www.oregonhomeownerhelp.org on December 10th. For answers to frequently asked questions about the program  about the visit www.oregonhomeownerhelp.org/en/faq  The website includes an eligibility test, FAQ’s and a newsletter sign-up for program updates.

Money for the program was assigned to Oregon from a special fund of the  U.S Department of  Treasury, designed for States hit hardest by the reception. Oregon was one of the 17 States that qualified.  For a list of the other States that received funds and that should offer a similar program visit: Making Home Affordable.

Preventing foreclosure is an important ingredient to the health of our real estate market. I hope this helps you or someone you know.
